Mac and Linux versions have improved smart card (PIV/CAC) support.
Productivity enhancements include a hex view, new Command window options to send commands to tab groups or visible sessions, and the ability to add keywords using the right-click menu. SecureCRT 8.1 has an updated UI and tab groups. Also new is support for ChaCha20/Poly 1305, AES-GCM, and OpenSSH certificates. SecureCRT 8.3 introduces new Solarized/ANSI color schemes, line rewrapping on window resize, multi-line paste confirmation, Connect bar auto complete, and multi-session drag and drop in the Session Manager/Connect dialog. SecureCRT 8.5 gives you new ways to customize your workflow with a Button Bar Manager for adding, deleting, duplicating, and rearranging multiple button bars, the ability to configure the Command window to send commands to different sessions, and enhancements to the multi-line paste dialog. Also new are Local shell support, Xterm True Color (24-bit), Dark Mode (macOS), and the ability to include folders when filtering sessions. A dockable Command Manager (Windows) lets you organize, filter, and launch commands. SecureCRT 8.7 adds phrase and substring matching to keyword highlighting. The Command Manager has been added to Mac and Linux in addition to Windows. On all platforms, new features include Python 3 support, a customizable status bar, and the ability to pre-load agent keys.

SecureCRT 9.0 for Windows adds support for RDP and introduces scratchpad and script editor tabs. A personal data folder allows separate storage of logon credentials. Session customization options include named sessions and firewalls, fonts, cursors, and color schemes. A high-productivity UI saves time with multi-session launch, tabbed/tiled sessions, cloned sessions, a dockable session manager, a button bar for repeated commands, and mapped keys. Ciphers include AES, AES-CTR, Twofish, Blowfish, 3DES, and RC4. Access an array of network devices via SSH1, SSH2, Telnet, Telnet/SSL, Serial, and other protocols, with authentication via password, public key, X.509 certificate, Kerberos v5 via GSSAPI, and keyboard interactive. SecureCRT for Windows, Mac, and Linux provides rock-solid terminal emulation, secure remote access, file transfer, and data tunneling with advanced session management and automation.
